Jo reviews the Manduca Baby Carrier
We have friends (thanks Jess) who regularly use a carrier while out and about so after seeing one in use, we just loved the idea. After doing a little research we decided to go with the Manduca Baby Carrier as we liked the idea of being able to use it when our missy was a little older (for short hikes and such mostly).

Bubs having a snuggly cuddle with Dad |
When our Bub was a week old we moved from Brisbane to North Queensland. So needing to fly with our week old was the Manduca's first real test. Turned out great! We were able to check in our pram and the walking swaddle/hug pretty much guaranteed a sleeping missy. She only woke to feed and we had to move her out and clip her into the planes belt then put her back in after our flight, but she settled again almost instantly.
It's "recommended" You get bubs into it from a sitting position and we have attempted to do it while standing and just ending up looking like we were trying to dress a wriggling octopus. Though getting bubs into the Manduca is mastered quickly.
We live in North Queensland so little miss does get very hot outside so we generally avoid using it on overly warm or humid days. However if You live outside of North Queensland (aka the surface of the sun) You probably wouldn't be limited with use. Day to day I find that its great for running errands and browsing in shops with small isles. I've even put her in it to rock her to sleep while I cleaned the house. Multitasking win! Basically great for anyone who likes the idea if having four hands!
We bought our Manduca from You and Baby. Click here to check them out on our online baby store.
